Three Plays On Stage This Weekend

Three of my plays are on stage this weekend.
Rathcabbin Drama Group are into the second weekend of their seven-night run with ‘The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley’. I have seen this production and I can’t say enough good things about it. Tadhg Nevin plays the title role of Gabriel.
In Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow, Kiltegan Drama Group opened tonight with the first of a three-night run with ‘Fortunes and Misfortunes’. This play was mentioned on ‘Winning Streak’ a few weeks ago when Con Cronin (who plays Bill Delaney) was a contestant on the show.
And in Aughawillan, Co. Leitrim, Aughawillan Drama Group are staging ‘The Maiden Aunt’ until Sunday. The play is being directed by Tommy Moran.

Hi jimmy, I’m a member of kinawley drama group from co Fermanagh, just staged “the two loves of Gabriel foley” just wanted to let you know how much we really enjoyed your play, great storyline and it enjoyed a good reception from our audience, lovely to make contact with the man behind the script. Well done, no doubt we will look at more of your work in the future. We are a small rural community on the border with co Cavan. Our drama group are in existence for 47 years, with one member of our present team there all those years! Well done again, Anne

Thanks for getting in touch, Anne, and for your kind comments. It’s always great to hear from cast members. I’m glad the first night was such a success for you. Hugh tells me that the group will probably be staging the play a few more times. So best of luck for those. Which part are you playing? To think I was only seven when the group first started 47 years ago!
