Little White Lies

Pete O’Shea is a young lorry driver, who has a knack of getting into awkward situations. In order to impress his new girlfriend, Bronagh Barrett, he tells her that he’s an accountant and gets locked into the deception. A few months later he and Bronagh are living together and he hasn’t been able to come clean. But Bronagh’s mother, Rita is suspicious of him. When Pete’s lorry is stolen while he is asleep in it, his deception is finally revealed and Bronagh ends the relationship.

A few weeks later, she begins seeing Ronan Lavelle, a self-obsessed supermarket manager. When Ronan faces losing his license over a motoring offence, he wants Bronagh to say she was driving at the time. Bronagh refuses. But Ronan’s mother, Cora knows a secret from Rita Barrett’s past and threatens to expose it unless Rita persuades Bronagh to say she was driving the car.

Bronagh and Rita begin to realise that perhaps they should have given Pete a second chance. But is it too late?
