‘Looking For Love’ goes on stage in Listowel

My two-act comedy ‘Looking For Love’ is being staged for five nights next week in St. John’s Theatre, Listowel, Co. Kerry. The dates are: Tuesday, April 12th – Saturday, April 16th.
The play tells of Denis and Vivien’s first meeting in a Bewley’s cafe and ends with their disastrous wedding night in a shady Dublin hotel.
The cast is: Bernie Daly, Denis Hobson, Kim Williams, Batt O’Keeffe, Fiona Keane-Stack, Sarah Harding, Chris Fitzgerald and Natasha Ross. The director is Joe Murphy.
I first wrote ‘Looking For Love’ as a one-act in 1996, followed by ‘Wedding Night Blues’ two years later. This production is an amalgamation of those one-acts. They were previously produced as a two-act play by Kilbeggan Drama Group in 1999.
