Just Finished New Play

I’ve just finished my new play. It’s called ‘Better Late Than Never’ and features eight characters.
These are Phyllis, a spinster; Emmet, a handsome photographer; Phyllis’ sister, Marjorie; Marjorie’s husband, Albert; Wally, a would-be suitor of Phyllis’; Gda Pat Doyle, an incompetent guard; and Imelda and Sharon, two waitresses at ‘The Cosy Corner’.
I’ll probably leave it for a week or two and then read it again. Mistakes or lines that don’t work usually become more obvious when I haven’t seen the play for a while.
I may try submitting this play to the Abbey Theatre – I haven’t decided yet..
