New Play Update

I’ve reached Page 10 of the new play. I always say the first ten pages of any new play are the most difficult. After that, it gets easier – well, at least, I feel it does.
At the moment, I’m still working on Act 1 Scene 1, which is set in The Cosy Corner cafe. Timid Phyllis has been forced to meet another hopeless prospective boyfriend at the behest of her domineering sister, Marjorie. However, there is a knight in shining armour close by, who could be Phyllis’ salvation.
Next Monday, there is a meeting of the Granard Writers’ Group, which will give me a chance to have a reading of some of the new play and hear how it sounds. No doubt the members will give me their verdict. .
