Three-Act Plays Update

As drama groups begin to tentatively choose plays again and cautiously think of staging productions, there is still an air of uncertainty about everything.
Finally, I’ve got around to updating the ‘three-act plays’ list on this website and all twenty-three synopses (and character lists) are finally available to read. This includes my latest play, ‘Finders Keepers’.
It’s good to be back!

‘The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley’ in Canada

My three-act comedy ‘The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley’ began a six-night run in the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island last night, staged by the Benevolent Irish Society.
Written in 2010, the play tells the story of a bachelor farmer, Gabriel Foley, who lives with his elderly mother and finds himself caught between the romantic desires of two women.

New Play: Finders Keepers

I started work on a new three-act comedy late last year. It is titled ‘Finders Keepers’ and will be my 23rd three-act comedy.
I have reached Act 3: Scene 1 of the first draft and am very happy with what I’ve written so far. The characters have really come to life and I am comfortable writing for all of them.
The story is a love triangle set in rural Ireland.

New Play Finished

I have recently completed my new play ‘For Love And Money’. It is my 22nd three-act comedy.
One drama group was kind enough to have had a read-through for me so that I could what it sounded like aloud and the reaction was positive.
Plot:
Recently-married David Egan believes that his aunt Julia is travelling from England to give him a large cash sum as a wedding present. But David’s wife Barbara has already taken time-out from their marriage and David has to get her back before Julia arrives without telling her about the money.
Cast: 3M 6F
