8 Productions Of My Plays On Stage Last Night

There were eight productions of my plays on stage in various parts of Ireland last night. This was a new record for me. I remember the days not so long ago when I was glad to have had eight productions of my plays on stage for the whole drama season.
The productions were:
The Maiden Aunt – Carraig na bhFear Drama Group, Co. Cork
Too Close To Home – Barrymore Players, Co. Cork
The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley – Aisteoiri na Boinne, Co. Louth
The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley – Acorn Players, Co. Leitrim
Fortunes and Misfortunes – Mullagh Entire Drama Group, Clare
Fortunes and Misfortunes – Kiltegan Drama Group, Co. Wicklow
I’m The One For You – Clonmore Drama Group – Co. Tipperary
A Night To Remember (one-act) – Kilglass Gaels GAA, Longford
And tonight, Saturday, just five productions.
I suppose some playwrights, who are brimming with confidence and who take their success for granted, wouldn’t be surprised at having so many productions of their plays on stage the one night. But then I don’t take my success for granted. I’m constantly amazed by it and feel I have to pinch myself to make sure it’s all real.

Well done Jimmy, Just back from the Kiltegan Production of Fortunes and Misfortunes and it was absolutely brilliant , The cast were excellent and the jokes were some funny stuff. I would love to see one of your play’s set in a Chapel, I think it’d be great.
